I arrived in the UK on the 10th of March 2010, staying with my sister Joan Larkin at Chineham, near Basingstoke, whilst I connected into the UK, bureaucracy and found a new home, to invite my wife Svetlana to. As I am old and grey and my paraplegic wife is varicoloured and very beautiful. Whilst in Russia, I thought I would l search the Internet for suitable accessible accommodation. Fortunately after weeks of unsuccessful searching I came across the term 'sheltered accommodation' and with in a short while I had discovered a major web-site listing all the social landlords in the UK. After word search for New Forest. I discovered Charles Ley Court, Fawley. Within a few kilometres of Southampton Water, the Solent and the New Forest National Park. The property had the benefit of the most wonderful feature of all ........ vacancies.

Left hand ground floor flat 10th March 2010
The above photo shows the empty flat and the rather bare gardens of early spring, when I first viewed the premises. I was very fortunate in that I have what is considered the flat with the best view over the fountain, central garden and car park. It also faces East and affords a good view of sunrise most mornings
Sunrise over Fawley
In fact the morning sunrise floods our lounge and kitchen that I have to pull down the blind if i want to use my computer.
